Dumpling (known as kueh changs to the Peranakans) Festival falls on 22 June this year. Come and learn about the different types of kueh changs dumplings in our region and taste the difference too. Dr Ong Jin Teong is the author of NONYA HERITAGE KITCHEN: Origins, Utensils, Recipes and Penang Heritage Food: Yesterday’s Recipes for Today’s Cook. Both books won the Best Culinary History national award at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. NONYA HERITAGE KITCHEN then went on to win the Best in the World Award in the final round in May 2017 at Yantai, China. He does research, write and conducts cooking classes and gives talks on heritage food & heritage related to food. He like to cook for friends and occasionally runs his own supper club.
