Dear Nyonyas and Babas,
In this month’s video, I am joined by Nyonya Anne Than, Nyonya Yip Wai Kuan, and Nyonya Ngiam May Ling. I wish to thank Baba Benjamin Seck for letting us film in his lovely Peranakan restaurant, True Blue Cuisine and his thoughtfulness in laying out the delectable kueh kueh and tea for us.
Nyonya Anne heads up Events and hopes that members will support the exciting events we have lined up for 2023 wholeheartedly. Nyonya Kuan is our Honorary Secretary and the Advertising Manager of THE PERANAKAN magazine. While she shares that there are plenty of changes to the magazine afoot as it transforms into a digital magazine, she also fervently hopes that our loyal advertisers will continue to support us.
Nyonya May Ling is our legal advisor. She reviews legal documents and advises on laws that could potentially affect the association. As a member of the Events Sub-Committee, she helps with the planning and logistics of events. Like Nyonyas Anne and Kuan, she is also a member of the organising committee of the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner.
