ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE PERANAKAN ASSOCIATION OF SINGAPORE TO BE HELD ON 30 MAY 2021 AT 2.30 P.M.

Dear Life Members,

1.This is to inform you that our 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was originally scheduled for this month has been deferred to Sunday 30 May 2021 at 2.30 pm and will be held virtually (by electronic means). This means that members will not be able to attend a physical meeting. 

The AGM package has been mailed out to you. They should be delivered within the next 5 to 7 working days. 

2.The business of the AGM will be to pass the following Resolutions:

  • To receive and confirm the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 12 July 2020 which are appended to this notice. (Resolution 1)
  • To receive and adopt the President’s report for the financial year ended 31 December 2020. (Resolution 2)
  • To receive and adopt the financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2020 which are appended to this notice. (Resolution 3)
  • To elect Emeric Lau as Honorary Auditor for the financial year ending 31 December 2021. (Resolution 7)
  • To transact any other business which may be properly transacted at an Annual General Meeting.

3.Given that the 2021 AGM will be a virtual event, those wishing to participate must pre-register at https://tinyurl.com/TpasAGM2021. The table below provides a summary of the important dates and deadlines related to the coming AGM.

2.30 p.m. on 14 May 2021

Deadline for members to submit proxy forms.

2.30 p.m. on 24 May 2021

Deadline for members to:

  • pre-register for live audio-visual webcast or live audio-only stream of the AGM proceedings; and

  • submit questions in advance

2.30 p.m. on 24 May 2021

Authenticated members will receive a Confirmation Email which will contain a link and a password to access the live audio-visual webcast and a toll-free telephone number to access the live audio-only stream of the AGM proceedings. Members who do not receive a Confirmation Email by 2.30 p.m. on 24 May 2021, but have registered by the Registration Deadline, should contact TPAS via email at secretariat@peranakan.org.sg

Click on the link in the Confirmation Email and enter the password to access the live audio-visual webcast of the AGM proceedings.
