Not much activity here from chatters

    Over the past few months, I've noticed that the main chatters are EXO, Jyun and myself, I wonder why? I find that the new members have not started any threads, if any just a few. Are they too shy or just afraid to do so because they are new here? Thats the reason why I have been working overtime with jyun about certain things that we are more familiar with over the past years even though some are not pure Peranakan things, but they have Chinese backgrounds. New threads have been mainly advertisements for job vacancies and other IT things. I come here everyday even twice a day and don't find too many new threads. I sincerely hope that this site will become a lot more active in the New Year 2008 with more active chatters, more new threads whatever they are and more new members. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous 2008 New Year.

    Hehe maybe its time we go to other forums and invite people into our PA forum network.

    If I am not wrong, there is a peranakan yahoo groups.  Maybe we could go into their forum and invite some new participants into our forum and join in the fun sharing information.

    Sorry, I've been absent for a while. Decided to spend New Years with friends in Malaysia for a change.

    What you doing? Haven't seen you here for ages, like 1 year, ha ha ha. Last time was last year. Hope you had a very good time over the New Year and Christmas too. Now its almost Chinese New Year and I have to celebrate it here as our office has restarted for 2008, no more holidays, yeah.

    Yes I went to Sg. and had a very good time, mostly eating, not too much shopping as didn't have enough time for that. I had a super dinner at the Peranakan Inn in Katong. Ayam buah keluak, lobak, kepiting ball soup, ayam kari and so on. I walked past the Nonya shop a few doors away, but it was closed, maybe because he closed after 6pm. I got the D24 durians from across the street, but got clobberred as maybe he thought I had a foreign accent. Not enough time to tour all the nonya/baba sites or restaurants/eateries. Just had to have my chilli crabs at Jumbo in East Coast Lagoon area and another place in River Valley Road which has a funny name. I wandered around Taka, Lucky Plaza and so forth and also Parkway and Bedok. After that I flew to Penang and stayed on the mainland side and went back and forth to Penang Island for shopping, sightseeing and eating binges galore, ha ha ha. Must have put on a few tons of meat around the waist, hehe.
