I have found out that my great grand mother may have been a Mdm Tan Kow Neo from Malacca who was married to my great grand father in JB sometime around the mid to end 1800s(exact date not available). My great grand father's name was Toh Ah Boon who came over from China to look for luck, business and wealth, the middle name could be something else due to local simplifications at that time by the local authorities. However, he was usually known as Toh Ah Boon. I understand the surname Toh is also Tok or Cheok in other dialect groups. I will reconfirm his actual middle name later.
